FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS
We invite both oral and poster presentations on recent seafood technology advances,  regulations, projects. Please submit an abstract using the guidelines given below.  

We welcome presentations in 

Earlier planning has identified interests in 

HACCP                             Sanitation         Marketing
Fisheries Management        Sardines           Shellfish.

Oral presentations will fit into 20-minute time slots, so plan on a 15 minute presentation  with 5 minutes for questions and discussion. Posters must fit onto a 4 ft by 6 ft space and  be readable from a few feet away. The Web has a number of sites giving tips on preparing  talks and posters. GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACTS
• Submit a one-page text in English containing 200-300 words describing the objective, methodology, a summary of main results and a short conclusion;
• Type the title in bold letters;
• Give the authors' names and affiliations on another line, marking the presenter with an asterisk;
• Indicate if the abstract is for an oral presentation or a poster.
• Indicate the topic under which authors wish to include their presentation.
Student Presenters: indicate whether they are masters or doctoral student and if you wish your presentation to be considered for the grad student presentation contest.
• Put the abstract in MS Word format and send an electronic version only -- by e-mail or by regular mail on a diskette.  Include your full name, address, FAX number and e-mail address.

STUDENT PAPER CONTEST
We encourage students to attend the meeting and present their work while connecting with other seafood technologists. And we continue the tradition of cash awards for the best oral and poster presentations -- $300 in each category. Grad students, please note your interest in joining this contest when you submit your abstract.
